bêabá do samba will join G.R.E.S. Unidos do Quilombo, Chicago's only community-based Brazilian bateria modeled in the spirit of Brazil's legendary samba schools, to celebrate the commemoration of TWO years of bringing Brazilian percussion to Humboldt Park!

8:30 p.m. - The party kicks off with a capoeira roda by the International Capoeira Angola Foundation of Chicago
9:30 p.m. - Performance by Bêabá do Samba
11 p.m. - Performance by Unidos do Quilombo and a very special collaboration between UdQ and Bêabá do Samba that you do not want to miss!

We'll be playing one short set before Céu's appearance in Chicago!

Join us for Quilombo center's winter party! Featuring performances by the International Capoeira Angola Foundation with visiting capoeira master Mestre Valmir (Salvador, Bahia, Brazil), as well as performances by bêabá do samba and Unidos do Quilombo, brazilian percussion ensemble.

There will be dancing, a photo booth, hors d' oeuvres courtesy of Gaudi Cafe & Whole Foods Market as well as beer, wine & a signature cocktail on offer. (The evening is kid-friendly & will feature a special mocktail as well!).
